Comprehensive data for reporting, planning and reconciliations

ASX’s data solutions for specific Austraclear® participants provide extensive holdings-based reference data to assist with instrument lifecycle events, liquidity management, cashflow projections and event reconciliations.

These products have been created for Austraclear® participants with reporting requirements beyond those of the standard report capabilities offered by the Austraclear® operating system infrastructure.

Uploaded overnight, these products cover all public and private instruments held in a participant’s Austraclear® account ahead of the new day. The enhanced holdings-based securities master and corporate action datasets allow for more comprehensive reporting and expansive corporate actions planning.

Enhanced data from the source

For privacy and security purposes, participant-specific holdings-based products are delivered daily via a secure FTP facility. The file generation process is fully automated to assist with operational efficiencies and reduce the inconvenience of manual data processing.

Files are loaded overnight at 2:30am AEST on Austraclear® business days into separate product-specific directories. Date-specific subdirectories are also included to support version management and historical file reconciliation. The service is supported by ASX’s Customer Technical Services.

These products comprise a significant range of data fields and rows. They also include fields derived from underlying Austraclear® data that are not available within the Austraclear® operating system.

Delta flags are included to identify new instruments and events in potentially large files and also to identify existing instruments and events with data elements that have changed since the prior file was produced.
