The webinar is most relevant to ASX-listed New Zealand foreign exempt entity staff with obligations relating to the entity’s ASX listing, and advisers to ASX-listed New Zealand foreign exempt entities.

ASX hosted the ASX Corporate Governance Council to present on the Consultation Draft for the 5th edition of the Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations. Council Chair, Elizabeth Johnstone, highlighted the main changes from the current edition, how you can provide feedback, and the process to finalise the 5th edition.

ASX partnered with the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and King & Wood Mallesons to present an update on mandatory Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (CRFD) in Australia, announced by the Federal Government on 12 January 2024. The government announcement and details of the proposal can be found here.
The webinar outlines the government proposal including who has to report what by when; and the draft Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards as proposed in “EDSR1” and developed by the AASB. The session includes an overview of the key feedback received by AASB in its consultation (open until 1 March 2024 – details here, together with AASB’s current outreach program), and the pathway to finalisation of the Standards.
The AASB has previously put together a webcast outlining the draft standard EDSR1, with accompanying slides.
